WHAT IS A LICENSE?

A License simply allows use of an image in a particular way for a pre defined purpose.

All our high quality Images are available under a Rights - Managed License. This provides our picture buyers with great images at fair prices for our photographers.

Why Rights - Managed?

A RM License allows the buyer to use an image once for a specific usage and duration. The cost of the RM image depends on the prominence of the image's use including media, territory, duration and print run.

So what is Royalty - Free?

A RF License allows an artbuyer to pay a one-off fee and use the image multiple times and on multiple projects according to the terms and conditions of the License Agreement.

The price is determined by the size of the image, generally RF images are a of a lower quality than RM images.

RF images cannot be re-sold or re-licensed. At all times you retain your copyright in your images.

Further usage is not allowed without a new license being issued and a new fee being paid. This provides the fairest return for our photographers while retaining full control over usage and copyright.

A RM License is typically non-exclusive. This means another buyer can also purchase and use the image under the same license.

Exclusive or Rights protected usage of RM Licenses is available for high profile projects on request.
